Cabinet granted approval to direct the Legal Draftsman to draft required amendments to the Animals Act No.29 of 1958 to make provisions to refer to the Butchers (Amendment) Act 13 of 2008 when offences, in relation to the illicit slaughter of pregnant and lactating cows, that are brought to the notice of a court of law.
